Buying Dragon Ball Super Manga in English

Choose the intended Dragon Ball Super paperbacks, plan missing volumes through the checked English index, and avoid title or format mix-ups.

Last updated October 8, 2026

If you want the Dragon Ball Super manga, begin with the book explicitly titled Dragon Ball Super, Volume 1. VIZ’s opening paperback credits story to Akira Toriyama and art to Toyotarou. The edition has its own numbered title, so include Super when writing a shopping list.

Checked October 8, 2026, VIZ’s Super manga index lists Volumes 1–24. Volume 24 has a March 3, 2026 print publication date. An indexed endpoint is useful for collection planning; it is not automatically a statement that the story is complete.

The family name alone is too broad for an exact book order. Keep the full manga title, volume number and desired format together. This matters especially for a gift: a request for Volume 1 needs the series title attached, rather than a guess based on the recipient liking Dragon Ball. Ask for the intended book or its identifier when a wish list is ambiguous.

If your Super shelf contains Volumes 1–10 and you want the indexed sequence through 24, the missing books are 11–24: fourteen installments. Buying an offered opening collection would repeat numbers already owned. A bundle is useful when its actual contents match your list; its size does not establish how much new material it adds to your particular shelf.

Check the paperback record

The Volume 1 paperback is ISBN 9781421592541, dated May 2, 2017. Volume 24 is ISBN 9781974762248.

Those print identifiers help distinguish a paperback from a digital purchase or a search result with an abbreviated heading. For a used set, request every spine number and check the condition of the offered copies. A publisher’s metadata identifies a book; it does not establish the condition of another person’s copy, a shop’s current inventory or an order’s arrival date.

Collection planning does not settle continuity

An anime viewer should not use this numbered inventory as a shortcut to a continuation point. Deciding where to enter the manga requires an actual adaptation boundary, not a guess based on a volume being recent. Starting at Super Volume 1 is the clear choice when you want this manga sequence from its beginning. Starting later should be a separate, supported decision.

Use the Dragon Ball Super catalog for its numbered book records. Keep future announcements apart from the books on your current list and keep format changes deliberate. The purchase question is which Super volumes you need, in the edition you intend to collect; the index supplies that planning information without answering every question about the wider franchise.
