What we collect
This site has no visitor accounts or logins. We do not ask for your name or email address. Analytics are stored separately from the website content.
Analytics
We use a self-hosted Umami analytics service to measure page views, estimated visits, referring websites, browser and device types, and approximate country and city. It does not set analytics cookies. Your IP address is processed to estimate location and distinguish visits; it is not stored as a raw IP address in the analytics database. These records are stored on a server operated by the site owner. We do not enable session recordings or collect account identities.
We do not use Google Analytics or Cloudflare Web Analytics, and there is no tag manager, no advertising pixel, and no cross-site tracking script anywhere on this site.
Shelves and outbound links
If you create a shelf, a cookie remembers its private link on this device; the shelf holds only the series you follow and the volumes you mark. When you follow a retailer link, we record the retailer, the volume, the page you came from and, if you have a shelf, its id, so we can see which pages lead to purchases. We never record IP addresses or browser details for those clicks.
Umami counts which of those links was clicked as well, so that clicks and page views can be read side by side: it records the name of the button, such as the Amazon or Bookshop link, and the page it was pressed on. It is a count, not a trail. It carries no identifier for you and tells us nothing the pages themselves do not already show.
Advertising
This site may carry third-party advertising. Where it does, those services may set cookies and collect usage data under their own privacy policies, which govern that data rather than this one. You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google’s Ads Settings.
