Komi Can’t Communicate Watch Order: Two Seasons, 24 Episodes
Season 1, then season 2: 24 episodes numbered straight through, with Japanese and Netflix dates from ANN.
Watch season 1, then season 2. That is the whole anime: 24 episodes in two 12-episode seasons, numbered straight through. Anime News Network's encyclopedia lists no third season, film or OVA as of October 14, 2026.
Everything, in order
| Order | Entry | Length | Aired in Japan |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Season 1 | 12 episodes | October 6 to December 22, 2021 |
| 2 | Season 2 | 12 episodes (13 to 24) | April 6 to June 22, 2022 |
Season 1
OLM made the anime, with Ayumu Watanabe as chief director and Kazuki Kawagoe directing. ANN's December 2021 report says it "premiered on TV Tokyo and other channels on October 6," streamed exclusively on Netflix in Japan from October 7, and that "Netflix debuted the anime outside of Japan on October 21, two weeks after its Japanese premiere." That is why English-language coverage often dates the show later than Japanese sources do. The same report says "the 12th and final episode of the anime's first season aired on Thursday," the day the second season was announced. ANN's episode list dates episode 12 to December 22, 2021.
Season 2
The second season premiered on April 6, 2022, at midnight, "effectively, April 7," ANN reported, with the same staff and new theme songs. ANN's episode list continues the numbering from 13 to 24, ending on June 22, 2022.
Not part of the anime
The manga also inspired a live-action drama that premiered on September 6, 2021, on NHK General, ANN notes. It is a separate adaptation and does not fit into this order.
Where to watch and reading on
ANN reports that Netflix streams the anime, including an English dub; availability varies by region and changes over time. VIZ Media publishes Tomohito Oda's manga in English, and the Komi Can’t Communicate catalog lists every volume. For the two leads, see Komi and Tadano, or how the opening chapters set them up.
