Black Clover Volume 6 resumes Asta's battle against the regenerating monster, with Gauche returning to help. This is an ongoing confrontation, so keep the preceding paperback's setup alongside it rather than treating the spine as a fresh mission. The contents label numbered installments Page, identifying chapters rather than printed folios. The analysis reads only pages 7–20 of VIZ's licensed opening preview. That excerpt stops before the new plan is carried out and establishes no clean stopping point.

Gauche's return initially changes the amount of force available without changing the result. His mirror attacks impress Asta, but the monster repairs itself, and Gauche admits that stronger versions of the same magic will not solve the problem. Asta instead proposes mutual protection. Gauche's memory of Yami's invitation gives that proposal a particular opening: he was permitted to care about his sister without being required to trust everyone immediately. Concern for her becomes a reason to protect the comrade whose death would hurt her. The practical change follows the relational one. Gauche begins considering a spell that copies someone else rather than himself. The scene does not make goodwill sufficient, however. His remaining power cannot activate the new spell unaided, so the plan still depends on other people buying time.
