The second selection begins by separating the Team Z players who survived together. Isagi now faces an individual challenge before the next group of strikers and rules comes into view. This is a clear change of stage for returning readers, although the preceding selection supplies the relationships being interrupted. The useful buying distinction is between finishing Team Z's immediate ordeal and following what happens when its shared progress no longer guarantees a shared route.

Blue Lock Man, the goalkeeping AI, makes the new selection's demand unusually literal. A player cannot rely on the familiar group simply to carry him through the opening test. The first selection produced survivors together; the next asks what each survivor can do alone. That is a structural reason to buy this volume after the earlier contest, rather than treating the next phase as more opponents in different shirts. The separation also puts a limit on the comfort of a team victory. Passing one arrangement does not mean the institution will preserve it for the people who passed.
