Momo returns to school at fairy size after Dandadan's cursed-trunk escape. The Fairy-Tale Card has been defeated, but eating the sweets inside the trunk has left her with a consequence that victory did not remove. This is the aftermath for readers following that rescue. The familiar school setting now has a different physical scale for Momo, making the return to routine conditional on a problem the group still needs to solve.

Leaving the trunk does not restore Momo's body. Seiko searches for a remedy while Momo pursues information about fairies in the school library, where she encounters a pygmy. That division gives the aftermath two kinds of work: an older relative's search and Momo's own attempt to understand her condition. Returning to school therefore carries an unresolved supernatural problem into an ordinary research setting. The change of scale is more useful than simply substituting another large opponent after the Fairy-Tale Card. Momo has to navigate familiar life with an unfamiliar body, and the library becomes a place where the next question can take shape.
