Okarun seeks training after being unable to help Momo against the Evil Eye. Dandadan returns the problem of Jiji's possession to the question of what Okarun can actually do about it. The motivation is already personal, so this is a bridge for readers following that conflict rather than a fresh introduction. The training premise offers preparation for another confrontation; the limitation that sends him looking for instruction is the reason this book belongs here.

This is not the reason to buy the run for a new supernatural premise: the immediate job is preparing Okarun to face an existing danger. The music-room training does give that preparation a specific shape. Turbo Granny brings him and Aira to a room whose composer portraits attack, then provides guidance that helps him overcome them. Progress comes through instruction under pressure, rather than a private declaration that he will try harder. The resulting decision to confront the Evil Eye ties the detour back to its purpose. The lesson matters because it changes what Okarun is prepared to attempt.
