Dorohedoro gathers its surviving factions against the Cross-Eyes' boss, making this a continuation for readers already in the conflict. VIZ describes the run as approaching its end here. The paperback contains 216 pages, but the final book is still ahead. Buy with the remaining sequence in mind instead of expecting this cover to mark a complete ending. A crowded confrontation depends on the earlier reasons each participant has for being there.

The publisher groups Caiman and Nikaido, Risu, and En's family into the confrontation, explicitly building on recoveries in the preceding volume. That makes the book's practical role collective action after separately accumulated injuries and mysteries. It is a poor isolated sample: selecting it for the battle alone discards the differences between the people fighting. For a continuing reader, those differences are the reason to keep the surrounding books available. Shared opposition can put people on the same battlefield without making their attachments identical. The purchase follows an ongoing conflict rather than providing a fresh starting contract.
