Kaguya-sama volume 2 is an early continuation for readers already enjoying the pair's elaborate refusal to speak plainly. The council relationship remains the frame, with small social signals carrying more weight than either leader will openly allow. Buy this for another sample of the comic premise before expanding the shelf. It is not the reason to buy the run by itself, and impatience with the opening stalemate is a poor reason to expect a different kind of romance here.

VIZ singles out a love letter and a cup marked with Kaguya's lipstick, placing jealousy and imagined intimacy beside each other. Both objects can be interpreted without requiring a direct conversation. That is the useful distinction for a returning reader: the comedy depends on characters treating indirect evidence as safer than an answer, even when interpretation generates more anxiety. The publisher also advertises a visiting student council officer and costumes, so the book's appeal is broader social embarrassment as well as flirtation. None of those advertised situations is a promise that the central relationship will become candid.
