A broken phone gives Komi access to a new set of social tools she does not yet know how to use. Her father helps her replace it with a smartphone, and VIZ makes unfamiliar apps the next obstacle. This is a domestic comedy continuation for readers interested in the mechanics of keeping in touch. A device can widen the available routes to friends while leaving its owner uncertain how to begin.

Replacing a phone is an unusually concrete way to test the meaning of access. VIZ gives Komi apps that could help her connect and make friends, then immediately supplies the limitation: she does not know how they work. The premise is not evidence that technology fixes communication, or that it makes communication worse. It separates having a tool from being able to use it. This small adjustment is not the reason to buy the run for romantic developments. Its defensible attraction is watching the series place the obstacle in an interface rather than in another person's response.
