Monster: The Perfect Edition
Nine paperback books complete the story. The edition has a new translation, revised pages and color material; use its own numbering when filling gaps.
Perfect Edition 1
Monster: The Perfect Edition begins a nine-book version of the complete story with a newly translated opening volume. VIZ announced remastered pages and color content for this edition, alongside the larger paperback format. Those are concrete edition differences; the word Perfect does not establish that every translation choice improves on the earlier release. If you are starting Tenma and Johan’s story, this is the first book in this numbered run. If you already own it in another edition, compare those production changes before replacing your copies.

Perfect Edition 9
Monster: The Perfect Edition ends here, so this is the final book for readers completing its nine-volume run. VIZ lists this paperback at 482 pages. The number belongs to the Perfect Edition sequence: match the edition name as well as the spine number when filling a gap. Its position at the end answers the collecting question, but does not make this a sensible introduction to Tenma and Johan’s story.
