Vol. 4
Parasyte Full Color Collection 4 brings Kana's ability to detect parasites into Shinichi's struggle to stay hidden. Her gift also registers Shinichi, making his partly human condition harder to keep private. That is the useful complication in Kodansha's premise: detecting an unusual body does not establish that the person inhabiting it is an enemy. This is the colorized hardcover edition, not the newer black-and-white Paperback Collection. The note concerns Kana's advertised role, without judging the uninspected color treatment or revealing what becomes of her.
