Yotsuba 2 advertises a drawing episode in which Jumbo's size becomes a problem for Yotsuba's sketchbook. Yen Press presents the premise in Yotsuba's voice, but that promotional wording is not a quotation from an inspected manga page. For a reader continuing the series, the appeal here is a small creative problem and a disagreement about its solution. The spoiler note examines that advertised gag, without judging the unseen drawing or claiming that it opens the paperback.
Spoilers — why this volume matters. Tap to reveal.
Yotsuba responds to Jumbo being too big for her sketchbook by drawing him on the street. Miura then says Yotsuba is bad at drawing. Those details in Yen Press's description put two different standards beside each other: providing enough space for the subject and demonstrating skill at drawing. Solving the first problem does not settle the second. That does not prove Miura is a fair critic, or that Yotsuba has failed to capture anything about Jumbo. Neither judgment can be made from this description alone. The comic premise is narrower: Yotsuba's confidence in her practical solution meets an assessment that it cannot automatically answer. This is a bounded breather argument about the advertised drawing gag, not a review of the volume's overall pace or visual execution.
