“You played the Seal of Orichalcos once and all of a sudden you're an expert of the subject?”
The Pharaoh tells Rafael to learn from his experience with the Seal, and Rafael challenges how much one failure has qualified him to teach. The objection is opportunistic, but it is not empty. Regret can make a warning sincere without making the speaker an authority on every version of the same danger. The Pharaoh has to demonstrate understanding through what he does next rather than use his remorse as a credential. Rafael, meanwhile, cannot disprove the warning by mocking the shortness of the experience behind it. The exchange is strongest when neither position receives an automatic victory. Having suffered a mistake does not confer complete knowledge; refusing instruction because its source is imperfect can become another way of repeating it.
