A Sign of Affection 7 brings other people's unreturned feelings into Yuki and Itsuomi's developing trust. Kodansha describes an encounter seen from outside and a separate confrontation that one partner does not know about. Continue here for the difficulty created by those unequal accounts, rather than expecting a new relationship independent of the preceding books. The spoiler discussion follows only the publisher's stated setup and leaves Itsuomi's advertised suggestion undisclosed.

Oushi sees Itsuomi and Emma enter an arcade, but that sight cannot tell him what Itsuomi says inside. Kodansha describes Itsuomi rejecting Emma's romantic interest there. An observed meeting can be real while an inference of mutual attraction remains unsupported. The information gap runs the other way too: Itsuomi does not know that Oushi has confronted and embraced Yuki, leaving her feeling guilty. These are different omissions, not proof that either partner has deliberately lied. The useful turn in the publisher's setup is that trust now has to operate across accounts that contain different pieces of the same relationships. Simply adding more witnesses would not necessarily supply the missing conversations. The description advertises a suggestion from Itsuomi but does not identify it, so neither its meaning nor its result can settle this reading.
