Bleach's seventh book opens with Rukia's departure and Ishida confronting her pursuers. Its contents list chapters 53 to 61. The licensed opening divides attention between the street confrontation and Ichigo discovering a message at home; knowing that something is wrong does not tell him what has happened. This note covers printed pages 7 to 19, not the later training chapters. Standard Vol. 7 is also collected in Omnibus 3 and Box Set 1: those are overlapping purchases rather than additional story.

The opening delays Ichigo's response with a toilet gag, a tied-up Kon and Rukia's needlessly difficult letter. That detour makes the information gap visible: Ishida faces Renji while the person associated with Rukia's borrowed powers is still decoding instructions. Ishida initially calls himself her classmate, then supplies his name when Renji threatens him. The exchange resists turning this intervention into another contest with Ichigo; he acts while Ichigo is absent. Kon concludes that Rukia left to keep them out of trouble, but his next guess is that she is dead. Ichigo rejects that leap. Concern supplies urgency without supplying evidence. The comedy has delayed knowledge, not canceled the danger. The preview ends before either confrontation is resolved.
