Editions and box sets
Check the named run as well as the book number; these collections can cover different parts of the story. Each edition has a page listing every book in it, with its ISBN and release date.
Which edition to buy
Kodansha lists the 20th Anniversary Edition as complete in four hardcover books. Start with Anniversary Vol. 1 and continue through Vol. 4 for this edition’s full run. Check the edition name as well as the spine number when buying a used copy: older English Chobits books use different packaging. The current listings establish this four-book sequence, but do not supply a verified contents crosswalk for switching from older editions. A matching spine number alone is not evidence that the next book continues where your copy stops.
