Dandadan follows the missing jewel trail into a police station and a problem of finding records. Momo and Okarun ask Turbo Granny to discover who collected it there, turning the search toward information held in an ordinary institution. This belongs after the search has resumed, with the object and the reason for wanting it already established. The immediate task is identification: knowing where something went is not the same as knowing who took it.

This is not the reason to buy the run for a major showdown: its distinguishing problem is investigative access. Turbo Granny can enter the station but cannot get past the computer system, so supernatural mobility does not automatically produce usable information. Rokuro's subsequent help supplies the missing identification through a different ability. The contrast is specific enough to make the detour worthwhile as a premise. Getting into a building and getting an answer from it are separate achievements. The book advances the search by exposing that gap, then giving another member of the supernatural cast a practical role in closing it.
