Under the demon’s influence, she has changed the dungeon and sent monsters toward the surface; Laios and Senshi hope remembered flavors can help them reach her. The change of register is specific: food is proposed as a way to recover a relationship with someone governing the threat. Its usefulness no longer concerns only the bodies that need to survive a journey. That argument does not require promising success for the meal. Remembering what someone likes and overcoming what controls them remain different tasks.
