Dragon Ball Super 21 puts Trunks's school life and the data he took from Dr. Hedo's lab in the path of an android infiltrator. The smaller stage offers a change from the cosmic contest occupying the preceding book: an enemy can arrive as a transfer student. This is a respite in setting, not a promise that the whole paperback is harmless comedy. The official announcement for the Japanese volume also identifies the start of the movie-story adaptation within this installment, so the school adventure is not its only advertised component.

Hedo's stated aim is to recover the data Trunks took. His proposed method turns the school into a route of access: an android is to enter as a transfer student named Baytah. The threat is organized around an ordinary social role rather than announced as another challenge to the strongest fighter. That is the specific value of the school setting in VIZ's description. It gives the adversary a way to approach Trunks through the life surrounding his superhero activities. The synopsis supplies the plan, not proof that the disguise succeeds or an account of how the students respond to it. Those consequences require the pages themselves.
