Buyers seeking the Nisekyu collaboration one-shot will find it alongside the qualifier story in Haikyu Volume 14. VIZ lists that bonus alongside the match story, so readers seeking the crossover have a concrete standard-volume target. Treat the bonus as an additional buying reason, not a substitute for the surrounding tournament context. The main sequence is already underway, and the paperback belongs in that sequence even when its extra material is the item being sought.
Spoilers — why this volume matters. Tap to reveal.
The main-story problem is a vacancy rather than a stronger rival. VIZ says an injured Daichi leaves Karasuno needing Ennoshita to take his place. That gives the volume a distinct roster question: reliability is easiest to notice when the player supplying it is unavailable. Separately, the publisher identifies Nisekyu as a collaboration with the author of Nisekoi. These are different purchase cases, one for the match continuation and one for the bonus. A buyer wanting only the crossover should know the book still principally belongs to an ongoing volleyball story.
