Haikyu Volume 15 keeps Karasuno on the Spring Tournament qualifying route through Miyagi. The bracket links its progress to the contest between Aoba Johsai and Date Tech, making another team's match relevant to its own plans. Read this after the preceding quarterfinal material to preserve that connection. This is a continuation purchase for readers following qualification, with familiar rivals carrying their own unfinished work through the same competition.
Spoilers — why this volume matters. Tap to reveal.
VIZ credits Ennoshita in the previous victory and then moves attention to the contest that will supply Karasuno's opponent. The bracket therefore makes other teams consequential even while Karasuno is waiting. That is the useful reading reason for this volume: rivals have work to do outside the protagonist team's schedule. Oikawa's Aoba Johsai and Date Tech's rebuilt blocking unit represent different potential problems. Buying this as part of the qualifier stretch preserves that uncertainty; selecting only the eventual rematch would reduce the other contest to a result printed in advance.
