Kenma's containment remains the problem for Hinata and Kageyama in Haikyu Volume 36. VIZ describes the continuing Dumpster Battle through the attempts to change that situation and Nekoma's response. Read it after the positioning problem established in the preceding volume. The buying appeal is adaptation inside the same contest, with both teams able to revise their approach; recognizing a restriction does not automatically supply a way around it.

Height becomes an option in the advertised response, and Nekoma answers with Lev Haiba and Sou Inuoka. VIZ's sequence makes adaptation reciprocal: escaping one restriction gives the opponent a different problem to address. That is the useful reason to collect this with the preceding Nekoma books. Isolating the escape would turn it into a completed upgrade, while the opponent's response keeps it inside a contest. Readers interested in the rookie players have a separate buying case here, since the publisher ties their involvement to a specific demand made by Karasuno's changed attack.
