The last volume of the run, and the one place where the books and the anime stop on exactly the same line. Chapters 691 to 700 close Part II and the series, and five of the ten are one fight, printed as 'Naruto and Sasuke, Part 1' through 'Naruto and Sasuke, Part 5'. Shippuden season 21, episodes 459 to 479, ends at chapter 700, with nothing held over. Season 22, episodes 480 to 500, adapted nothing new from the manga, so the books and the adaptation finish together. Viz published this book on 6 October 2015, eleven months after the last chapter ran in Weekly Shonen Jump on 10 November 2014, and it closes Box Set 3. Seventy-two singles cost $863.28 at list against $407.76 for the twenty-four 3-in-1 books, so a reader starting now should price that line first.

No other book in the last third of the run ends on the same chapter a season of the adaptation ends on. This one does: season 21 stops on chapter 700, season 22 adapted nothing new, and a reader and a viewer therefore finish in the same place, with nothing held over in either medium. What is in the book is ten chapters and 208 pages against the 192 that most of the run carries, and five of those ten are a single fight, numbered from 'Naruto and Sasuke, Part 1' to 'Naruto and Sasuke, Part 5'. Chapter 700 is titled 'Uzumaki Naruto!!' and chapter 1 was 'Uzumaki Naruto!'. What is bought here, then, is the object rather than the information: the 3-in-1 line covers the same 700 chapters for $455.52 less, and a reader who has paid single-volume prices for seventy-one books has already settled that question. Anyone who has not should settle it before buying this one.
