Chapters 604 to 614, the first full volume after the time skip, and the book that reaches the island Arlong came from. The series has been pointing back at Fish-Man Island since the East Blue and gets there more than five hundred chapters later by going down: chapter 607 is titled '30,000 Feet Under the Sea'. Three of the eleven chapter titles are simply names, 'Madam Sharley, Fortune-Teller' at 610, 'Hody Jones' at 611 and 'Mermaid Princess of Shell Tower' at 613, and the three books after this one belong to the people they introduce. Season 15 covers all of it with no boundary near. A reader arriving from the anime should make sure of Vol. 61 first: the reunion is in that book, not this one.

The mermaid princess of chapter 613 is the debut that carries, and the three volumes after this one turn on her. The fortune-teller's prediction in chapter 610, that Luffy will destroy the island, is the other one, because it makes the crew the threat in a story where they are ordinarily the answer: the royal invitation the Straw Hats accept is a plan to detain them on the strength of it. They take the palace instead, beating King Neptune and his guard, which leaves the heroes occupying a kingdom that has done nothing to them. Hody Jones arrives in chapter 611 as leader of the New Fish-Man Pirates, and what he actually is does not become clear until Vol. 65. The first arc after the skip opens by making the crew look like the invasion.
