Witch Hat Atelier begins the Sincerity of the Shield test after Coco’s acceptance into Qifrey’s atelier. The assignment gives the group a concrete duty: escort birds to their nesting grounds. Buy it as the start of another examination, with the earlier apprenticeship already understood. A new test is a useful reading marker, but the group’s established relationships make this a poor substitute for the series opening.

The test measures protection through an escort task rather than through a demonstration performed for an examiner. Ancient traps threaten the route, and the group includes an apprentice from another atelier who lacks confidence. That combination makes cooperation part of the assignment, not an optional virtue attached to individual skill. A Brimmed Cap waiting to attack also means the stated test cannot account for every danger. This is a defensible place to begin the examination sequence when continuing a collection; it does not promise that completing the assignment will be the only problem the group must solve.
