Kohka and South Kai move toward war as Yona prepares for the battlefield. This paperback continues the political and military pressures around the neighboring states, with Kin Province central to the immediate danger. Choose it as part of that connected conflict. It is a poor place to enter the series for a single fighter's exploits, because the situation concerns a province's defense and the people available to carry it out.

South Kai's forces take General Geun-tae out of action, leaving Kin Province at a serious disadvantage. The description then asks whether Hak will fight at the front. That framing gives his strength a context beyond individual reputation: the need for a capable fighter is produced by a damaged defensive position. A military title cannot perform its function when its holder is unavailable. The volume's premise is therefore about a gap in protection as much as an approaching battle. Yona's resolve and Hak's possible intervention have to meet a situation already altered by another person's loss.
