Yona's search for Jaeha and Sinha reaches a crisis in which their dragon powers become dangerous to recognize. This paperback continues the missing-companions material after the South Kai confrontation. Choose it with the preceding search, rather than as a new monster battle. Its immediate concern is the gap between the companions Yona is trying to recover and what other people may see when they encounter them.

Jaeha and Sinha have become dragons, and Jaeha disappears in front of Yona. At the Kohka camp, frightened soldiers attack Sinha as he struggles to survive. The reversal is specific: people on the same side of the preceding conflict can become a threat when they no longer recognize a companion as a person. That gives this continuation of the crisis a reason beyond another display of supernatural power. The soldiers' fear does not make the attack harmless. Sinha's immediate problem is surviving people who see a rampaging dragon where Yona sees someone she knows.
