YuYu Hakusho’s seventh book opens before the previous tournament bout has been decided. Its contents list chapters 56 to 63 and an unnumbered bonus story; the opening first settles the ring count and then brings Kurama against Roto. This note reads only printed pages 7 to 20 of VIZ’s licensed preview. It does not establish the second fight’s result or infer the later knife-edge match from the book’s title. The existing chapter range is preserved.

Kuwabara can still stand and insists he can fight, but the ring count has already given the round to the opposing side. His physical resilience does not undo the tournament’s rule. Kurama’s next bout breaks that controlled comparison more violently: Roto claims to have familiars watching Kurama’s human mother and threatens her life if he presses a switch. The visible advantage in the ring ceases to measure combat ability alone. Kurama slows down and accepts blows because someone outside the arena has been made part of the contest. Roto treats that restraint as weakness and demands that even Kurama’s expression show fear. The excerpt separates submission from consent. It shows a fighter calculating under a threat, without verifying the mother’s situation independently or supplying Kurama’s eventual response to the coercion.
