Odysseus eu Britannia Quotes

Lelouch has announced that he killed Charles and taken the throne; Suzaku has stopped the guards sent against him. Odysseus still describes what he is seeing as an unacceptable stunt on an international broadcast. His objection belongs to a ceremony whose rules the intruders are already replacing. Calling it a joke offers a comfortable explanation for an intolerable event. It lets him address Lelouch as a relative who can be corrected rather than a claimant using force. But the correction cannot make the guards effective again or require Lelouch to accept that relationship. The next command comes through Geass, and Odysseus's protest gives way to obedience. His language is inadequate before supernatural compulsion silences it. The scene's sharpest embarrassment is the interval in which he still thinks the problem can be resolved by making Lelouch appreciate how badly he is behaving in public, while Lelouch is deciding who will have the authority to judge behavior at all.
