“See ya soon, Cherubimon.”
2 quotes from Digimon Frontier, each with commentary on what it means and why it stuck.
“See ya soon, Cherubimon.”
“Lopmon fall down, go boom!”
Lopmon, Patamon and Salamon tumble over together, then laugh. The childish phrasing belongs to that shared mishap, not to an observer mocking someone else's weakness. Its value is how little moral explanation the moment needs. Companionship can be visible in the permission to be ridiculous together; adding a solemn statement about reconciliation would make this small scene less convincing, not more.
Cherubimon becomes an egg after this farewell. That transformation gives Patamon's refusal of finality something concrete to rest on, but the tenderness also changes the emotional terms of the victory. Defeating an enemy need not mean wanting his absence forever. The small goodbye makes room for a future encounter without pretending that the violent ending of this one was a cheerful occasion.
