Watch season 1 straight through, episodes 1 to 22. Season 2 is announced for January 2027, with no day given. The only trap is naming. Season 1 aired in two parts of 11 episodes each, and Anime News Network's encyclopedia files each part as its own entry, so its entry for the 2027 season is titled "Sakamoto Days (TV 3)." Officially it is the second season.

Season 1, part 1

TMS Entertainment made the anime, directed by Masaki Watanabe. ANN's November 2024 report announced the January 11 premiere and that the anime "will run for two cours (quarters of a year), with the second cours premiering in July 2025." It premiered on TV Tokyo and debuted on Netflix the same day, and ANN's May 2025 report says Netflix listed "Part 1" with 11 weekly episodes. ANN's episode list runs from "The Legendary Hit Man" to episode 11, "Casino Battle," on March 22, 2025.

Season 1, part 2

The second part premiered on July 14, 2025, at 24:00 JST, "effectively, July 15," per ANN, which calls it "the first season's second part." Netflix put its first episode up in advance on July 14. ANN's episode list continues from episode 12, "Overload," to episode 22, "Each One's Mission," dated September 23, 2025.

Season 2

Jump Festa '26 announced the second season in December 2025. In June 2026, Netflix's teaser announced a January 2027 premiere, with Daisuke Nakajima, who directed episode 22, as the new director, Watanabe as supervising director, and TMS animating again. No day has been given in ANN's coverage as of October 14, 2026, so we do not give one.

Not part of the anime

A live-action film, directed by Yūichi Fukuda with Ren Meguro as Tarō Sakamoto, opened in Japan on April 29, 2026, ANN reports. It is a separate adaptation.
