Yotsuba&! Manga: The Yen Press Paperbacks, Vols. 1 to 16
Yotsuba&! is published in English as numbered Yen Press paperbacks, 16 so far; Vol. 16 arrived in May 2026. Why the first six came out on one day, and why older copies need an ISBN check.
Buy Yotsuba&! in Yen Press’s numbered paperbacks, starting with Vol. 1. Sixteen are out; Vol. 16 was released on May 26, 2026. Yen Press’s series page lists Vols. 1 to 16 and no omnibus.
The first and latest books
| Book | ISBN-13 | Release | Pages | US list |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Vol. 1 | 9780316073875 | September 15, 2009 | 226 | $13.00 |
| Vol. 16 | 9798855425819 | May 26, 2026 | 256 | $13.00 |
Every volume lists at $13.00 in print, $208.00 for all 16, at a 5 × 7.5 inch trim with an All Ages rating. Yen Press also sells digital editions with their own ISBNs; Vol. 1’s digital edition, for example, is listed at 208 pages against 226 in print.
Why Vols. 1 to 6 share a date
Yen Press was not the first English publisher of Yotsuba&!. Its history of its rereleases says that “five volumes of Yotsuba&! were previously available before it went out of print,” and that Yen Press released it so that fans could “collect the latest sixth volume, but all five of the previously released volumes in our new edition as well.” That is why Vols. 1 to 6 all carry September 15, 2009 in the catalog.
The practical consequence: an English copy of Vols. 1 to 5 printed before Yen Press’s September 2009 edition is from the earlier edition, not Yen Press’s. If you want a matched Yen Press shelf, check the ISBN against our Yotsuba&! catalog before counting an old book as owned.
A slow series
New volumes arrive years apart. Vol. 13 came out in May 2016, Vol. 14 in November 2018, Vol. 15 in September 2021 and Vol. 16 in May 2026. Vol. 16 is where the English run stands, not an ending; nothing in Yen Press’s listing calls it final. If you are waiting for Vol. 17, there is no announced date in the inventory we checked.
Before you buy
Yen Press’s blurb, written in Yotsuba’s voice, sets up the premise: she has moved with “Daddy” to a new house and “met these nice people next door and made friends to play with.” Our essays on attention before explanation and the father’s supervision in the opening show how much the series does with that.
