Final Season Part 1 ep. 60–75

The Liberio raid ends in chapters 103 to 106, and the closing pages charge the reader for something the three volumes before them talked the reader into. The raid succeeds, and the Scouts withdraw with the Warhammer Titan's power and with Zeke aboard. This is the volume that settles what kind of story Attack on Titan has become, and the section below says how. The Final Season part 1 covers chapters 91 to 116, so a viewer has seen all of it. Colossal Edition 6 begins here with Vols. 26 to 30, and no Kodansha page names the box set this volume belongs to.

Spoilers — why this volume matters. Tap to reveal.

Sasha's death is placed to be unsatisfying. It is quick, it happens away from the main fight, and it is done by a child whose reasons the reader has spent three volumes learning to understand, which is the point. The series has just finished arguing that the enemy's children are children, and it charges the reader for believing it in the next chapter. Gabi does what Eren's friends would have done. The volume also puts Zeke on the Scouts' airship as an ally, which is the setup for the euthanasia plan running from Vol. 28 to Vol. 30. The Japanese volume shipped on 9 August 2018.
