Ship repairs force the travelers onto a dangerous island in Berserk Volume 35. The publisher identifies an ancient sea god rather than presenting landfall as a secure break from the voyage. This paperback sits inside Deluxe 12, between standard Volumes 34 and 36. The island is a forced stop within the existing journey, with the condition of the ship limiting the group's ability to choose otherwise.

The island's threat matters because the need for repairs makes refuge compulsory. PRH describes the damaged ship, the supposedly sheltered stop and the ancient god watching over the island. The need to stop creates the conflict before anyone can choose a safer destination: a damaged ship makes an uncertain shore difficult to refuse. This is not the reason to buy the run for a completed adventure. Its function is to introduce an obstacle the travelers cannot simply sail around once they need the island's shelter. Dependence on a place can make its apparent hospitality difficult to refuse.
