Bleach Volume 10 opens with Kukaku explaining a new way into the Seireitei. Chapters 80–88 continue the rescue attempt from the preceding standard book, beginning with a fireworks expert's proposed launch rather than an immediate entry. The checked licensed passage covers the demonstration and preparation instructions; the launch and subsequent fights remain unread for this note. Box Set 1 contains this standard book, while the fourth three-in-one omnibus starts its overlap at this volume.

Kukaku's spectacular cannon initially gives the visitors something to object to rather than something they understand. Uryu calls the proposed launch insane, and Ichigo cannot translate an instruction to channel power into the ordinary spellcasting knowledge she assumes. The demonstration exposes that gap without treating it as a final measure of ability. Ganju can form the shell, but Kukaku stops his quarrel with Ichigo before explaining what the device must overcome. A wall that blocks spiritual energy and a surrounding barrier require more than a large projectile. The passengers themselves must sustain the shell, with loss of focus carrying a stated risk of explosion. Preparation therefore transfers part of the launch's responsibility to everyone inside it. Ganju's separate objection to helping a Soul Reaper also remains active; understanding the mechanism does not settle his willingness to participate.
