Bleach Volume 11 continues the separated rescue party's fights inside Soul Society. Chapters 89–98 follow the previous standard book, opening with Ganju's confrontation while the noise of another battle has died down nearby. The licensed passage checked here also covers Ichigo's first exchange with Ikkaku after their duel, stopping before further warnings or later Renji chapters. Box Set 1 already contains this standard book, and the fourth three-in-one omnibus overlaps it with the neighboring volumes.

Defeating Ikkaku does not make Ichigo share his account of what defeat should mean. Ikkaku objects that saving his life has shamed him, while Ichigo treats the available medicine as something to use and then asks where Rukia is. Their disagreement survives the practical exchange. Ikkaku gives a location, insists the prisoner means nothing to him, and tells Ichigo to leave before others find him. Those directions help the rescue attempt without certifying either friendship or a shared cause. The nearby fight keeps the opening from turning that exchange into a general rule about enemies. Ganju's pepper bomb catches him as well as his opponent, and his attempted escape draws contempt rather than cooperation. These encounters change what winning can buy: one produces usable information after a dispute over care, while the other remains an effort to get away.
