Dragon Ball Super’s fourth book begins after Goku and Vegeta return from the threatened future. Its contents number the manga installments as Episodes 21 to 24; those labels belong to this book and do not establish anime episode coverage. This note reads only printed pages 7 to 20 in VIZ’s licensed preview. It follows preparations for another journey and the danger still facing Future Trunks, without establishing the later battle’s result or comparing the manga with an unseen adaptation.

Goku apologizes for leaving Trunks behind, while Vegeta immediately challenges the decision. Bulma stops the exchange from becoming a contest of blame: the machine’s fuel and connection to a particular future constrain what another rescue attempt can accomplish. A return does not erase the time that passes for the people still there, and changing events does not offer unrestricted access to the same future afterward. Goku chooses to learn a sealing technique; Vegeta rejects that route and starts training separately. Their confidence has different practical forms, but neither plan has succeeded in the inspected pages. When the opening returns to Future Trunks, his attempt to protect Mai encounters an opponent still able to overpower him. The preparation scenes gain their urgency from that unequal time: the travelers can debate methods while the person waiting for them remains exposed.
