Season 2: Shibuya Incident ep. 30–47; Season 3: The Culling Game Part 1 ep. 48–59

Chapters 134 to 142, and the point where television runs out. Season 2 stops at chapter 136, the third chapter in this book, and season 3 picks up at chapter 137 and runs to 181. So a viewer who finished season 2 starts here and reads three chapters they have already seen, and a viewer who finished season 3 is five volumes further on and starts at Vol. 21. The where-to-start form, given episode 47, answers chapter 137 and names this volume. What follows chapter 136 is the Culling Game. Viz lists it at $11.99.

Spoilers — why this volume matters. Tap to reveal.

Chapter 136 is Kenjaku's exit: he activates his technique on everyone he has marked across the years, releases his curses across Japan, states that he intends to return the country to the Heian era, and leaves. Gojo is sealed, Tokyo is overrun, and the volume's remaining chapters deal out the consequences, including Gojo being ruled an accomplice and exiled, and Yuji's execution order being revived. The turn that matters for the rest of the run is Choso, who now believes Yuji is his brother and acts on it, and whose reason the series withholds until Vol. 29. Readers who stop after this volume have a complete 142-chapter story with a real ending. The argument for continuing is that the last fourteen volumes contain the series' best single fight and its worst-paced arc.
