Nana follows the search for an affordable Tokyo home in this second standard paperback. Both women need somewhere to live, and both have friends willing to help. For a shelf begun with the original singles, continue with this edition: the Anniversary line uses an omnibus format, so matching a spine number is not a reliable way to continue the same story. The immediate problem here is housing, before any dream can become a workable daily life.

The apartment search is not the reason to buy the run on its own. Its value is the unglamorous condition it places on the premise: moving to Tokyo still leaves the problem of paying to remain there. Friends become useful for reasons that have little to do with either romance or musical talent. That makes this a practical continuation rather than a substitute sample for the opening book. VIZ describes the Anniversary edition as an omnibus with a larger trim and gatefold flaps. Choose a format deliberately before continuing; a matching number alone does not identify matching contents.
