Editions and box sets

Compare the story coverage as well as the binding. Each edition has a page listing every book in it, with its ISBN and release date.

Which edition to buy

The original English paperback inventory runs from Vol. 1 through Vol. 21. That is the published inventory checked here, not a declaration that the story is finished. The 25th Anniversary Edition is a separate 2-in-1 paperback line with a larger trim size and gatefold flaps; its spine numbers cannot be substituted for single-volume numbers. VIZ also announced a Vivienne Westwood cover variant of Anniversary Vol. 1 with sprayed edges. It is a variant of the opening collection, not the next volume. Current stock and an eventual final Anniversary book count are not established by these listings.

Compare the first numbered book in each edition below. A later box set is not a starting point for the story. List prices are publisher prices in US dollars, not current shop offers.

What each edition costs

Collected list prices are divided by the standard volumes each edition holds. The singles row shows the most common single-book list price; its total sums each book’s price. Retailer offers can differ.

Each linked volume has a page of its own: what the book holds and where to buy it. Chapter ranges and anime comparisons appear where verified.
