An anime boundary falls somewhere in the first four chapters of this book, and nobody has stated exactly where. Season 21, Egghead, runs to about chapter 1125 across episodes 1089 to 1155, and season 22, Elbaph, opens at 1126. Our figure for the end of season 21 carries a few chapters of slack, but every plausible value lands inside these twelve chapters, so a viewer arriving from season 21 should open this volume at the front and skim rather than count. Season 22 is still broadcasting and its numbers will move. Chapters 1122 to 1133 close one arc and open another on a new island. This is also the last volume any box set reaches: Viz states Box Set 5 as volumes 91 to 111 at $250.00, and that set is a preorder dated 8 December 2026. 224 pages.
Spoilers — why this volume matters. Tap to reveal.
The book does two arcs' work, which is why the seam sits where it does. Egghead ends when EMET spends Joyboy's stored haki and throws the Five Elders back to Marijoa; Imu executes Saturn for failing to stop Luffy and installs St. Figarland Garling in the seat; Lilith is the only satellite to leave with the Straw Hats, and Vegapunk continues inside her. Then the register drops. The Giant Pirates sail for Elbaph, six of the Straw Hats wake in a cage inside a castle built like a toy, and the back half of the book is a chase around a fairy-tale island past an owl, a rope bridge and a moose-lizard. Underneath it, Luffy finds the imprisoned Giant Prince Loki, who offers to destroy a rival crew in exchange for his freedom and swears him to secrecy, and Robin walks into her reunion with Saul on the closing pages. A reader buying singles gets both halves in one book. A viewer gets them a season apart.
