Chapters 1111 to 1121, and the point where a five-book battle stops to explain itself. The shape is unusual and it is the reason to own the volume: a running retreat toward the ship is cut against a recording playing over the whole island, so the longest single block of exposition in this stretch of the run is delivered while everybody inside it is moving. Week by week that was hard to hold. In one book it reads as designed, which is the clearest case in this stretch for buying the series collected rather than following it by chapter. It is not a place to start; the unit is Vol. 106 onward. Season 21 runs to about chapter 1125, so a viewer is at or near the end of it here. Omnibus 37 explicitly collects Vols. 109–111 but is a January 12, 2027 preorder; Box Set 5 also covers this book and has not shipped. 200 pages, $11.99.

The recording is the payoff for Ohara and for every Poneglyph the series has stopped to read. The Void Century ended eight hundred years ago with a war between the World Government's founders and a man called Joyboy, the first pirate, who stretched the way Luffy does. It ended when the three ancient weapons were used, which raised the sea and made the map the crew has been sailing since Vol. 1, and Roger's crew disbanded on learning it. York stole a piece of the Mother Flame to fire one of those weapons, and that is what happened to Lulusia. Vegapunk's last words are an apology to Clou D. Clover for refusing to help him twenty-six years earlier, which is the series charging its most useful character for Ohara. Around the broadcast: Atlas knocks Lilith out and destroys herself against Nusjuro to buy the Sunny its opening, the Iron Giant EMET comes up out of the sea calling Luffy Joyboy, and Luffy and Bonney put Saturn down between them.
