Chapters 127 to 136, and a book a viewer coming from the anime should start two chapters into. Season 2 ends at chapter 128, the second chapter here, and season 3 opens at chapter 129, the third, so the boundary falls inside this volume rather than between two of them. The story changes destination in the same place: the crew leaves the island with a course it did not have, then acquires a medical emergency and needs a doctor more than it needs a compass. The back half is a snow-covered kingdom and the search for the only physician on the island, said to be a 140-year-old witch in a castle on a mountain. At 216 pages it is one of the longer books in the run, at the standard $11.99.

Sanji answers the call in chapter 127, 'Snail-o-phone', pretends to be Mr. 3 and tells Mr. 0 that Vivi and the crew are dead. That lie buys the crew a stretch of the journey unhunted. He also takes an eternal pose off the messengers who turn up mid-call, which is the course out of the island and the reason the giants' duel does not have to be resolved first. Broggy's grief from the last book turns out to have been premature: a century of swinging had blunted the axe. Chapter 129, 'Straight Ahead!!!', gives the volume its title and starts season 3 in the anime. That season is called Introducing Chopper at the Winter Island, and Chopper is not in this volume. He is in the next one. A buyer following the season titles gets that wrong.
