Box Set 1 is the first 23 volumes of One Piece in one box, for a reader who wants the story from chapter 1 as single volumes. Viz describes the contents as the first two story arcs, East Blue and Baroque Works. The anime divides the same 216 chapters differently: seasons 1 to 3, East Blue, Entering into the Grand Line and Introducing Chopper at the Winter Island, sit wholly inside the set, and season 4, Alabasta, runs to chapter 217, one chapter past it. A viewer who has finished season 4 has therefore seen everything here and starts in Box Set 2. Viz promises "exclusive premiums" and does not say what they are. At list the set works out to $10.65 a volume against $11.99 singly, and the 3-in-1 omnibus is $5.66 a volume. The box is a way to own the single volumes for less. It is not the cheapest way to read them.
