Chapters 627 to 636, and a battle the book names by its arithmetic: chapter 634 is titled '100,000 vs. 10'. Hody Jones announces his coup over the island's transponder snails, the present-day story restarts after the flashback that filled Vol. 63, and the crew goes into it with part of its number elsewhere and Jimbei supplying the plan. The fight runs past this volume and is not settled in it. Season 15 covers the whole book with no boundary. One thing the chapter list shows: chapter 627 is called 'Thank You', which is also the English title of Vol. 56 and the name of chapter 548 inside it. The same two words close the prison arc and open the last fight of this one.

Nami settles the oldest debt in the crew in the first chapter. She tells Jimbei that she does not hold him responsible and that Arlong is the only fishman she resents, which is the payoff the twelve chapters of Vol. 63 were spent setting up. After that the volume is mechanics: Jimbei, Shirahoshi and Megalo run for the palace, Hody is identified as Otohime's assassin, Nami's Mirage Tempo puts the crew in front of the island at once, and the Celestial Dragon's letter and Otohime's petition are produced in public. The political half of the arc resolves before the physical half begins. Ten against a hundred thousand is never presented as a serious question, and that is the weakness here: the post-skip crew is not in danger. The threat the book ends on is not Hody but Noah, an ancient ship thrown at the island by Vander Decken IX.
