Maomao can explain a physical mechanism without being able to name every person behind it. She connects the ritual fittings, the braziers and the dead craftsman's alloy technique, but refuses to certify whether his poisoning was murder or an occupational hazard. The distinction keeps a plausible reconstruction from becoming a complete accusation. When Lihaku later reports a court lady's death and treats the case as closed, Maomao tests that administrative conclusion against the scale of the scheme and her memories of Suirei. Her doubts do not prove an alternative account; the preview stops with questions still active.
