This quieter assignment is not the reason to buy the run if what you want is a major confrontation. Designing a contraption to sell asks a different question: whether a magical object is useful without becoming harmful. The return to the atelier and work with Tartah give that question a concrete task. Coco’s reunion with Custas complicates the pleasant prospect of a festival, because someone she previously saved remains convinced that his luck has run out. Preparation has a human limit here. Making something beneficial does not mean its maker has solved the recipient’s life.
