Ezrest brings witches, royalty, the Knights Moralis and the Three Wise into the same public event. That assembly gives the festival a buying interest beyond new stalls or a change of setting: Coco’s work reaches a place shared by people with very different kinds of authority. Their gathering does not make this an independent festival story. The contraptions arrive with the students, carrying preparation from the preceding book into the public occasion.
