Quick to read an opponent's strategy, and honest about a fight while losing it. Reproduced for banter; worth more than that.
“Ha. Still being all macho with all the man and woman stuff? You talk tough but I know it's just an act. Idiot.”
This is the Temari line the fandom reproduces and it is the least of her. Read cold it is banter about gender roles, the sort of exchange any two characters could have, and it flattens a strategist the series otherwise treats as the most competent field commander in the Sand. The interesting version of her is the one calculating wind angles, not the one landing a jab.

“Come on, you really think you'll be able to get through Gaara's defenses just by dropping a couple of pounds of weight?”
Lee's weights hit the ground hard enough to leave large craters. Temari has just called them a couple of pounds, giving the impact a specific judgment to demolish. Without her estimate, the fall would demonstrate hidden weight. With it, the reveal also measures how little the observer knew while sounding certain. The line's usefulness is therefore structural: it lends the coming surprise a confident voice before that confidence has to answer to visible evidence. Temari's error is narrower than failing to predict the whole fight. The craters disprove her estimate of the equipment; they do not by themselves prove that removing it will defeat Gaara. Keeping those claims apart makes the scene better. Lee has revealed something important about the burden he was carrying, while the larger question about what his opponent can withstand remains open. The spectacle earns a revision of one assumption, not an advance verdict on the match.
